Nature of request
Marston) Draft letters of Henry VI to the chancellor stating that Robert Burton has shown him that he was selected to represent the English Church at the council of Basle, and at that time he and his servants in his company were protected. Henry commands the chancellor to suspend from 2 February 1434 until the octave of the purification of Our Lady 1435 the pleas of scire facias which have been procured by certain malefactors, enemies of Robert Burton against him and his sureties to keep the peace, and to stop further writs issuing out of Chancery against them. Also to send writs of supersedias to suspend indictments against Burton and his servants who have been sent to the council at Basle.
