Nature of request
Holme states that he has resided in England for 7 years suing the good and profits of the king and the parts of the duchy of Guyenne and has used his goods and jewels for this to his undoing without the king's hasty remedy. He requests that the king grants him his letters patent of protection under the great seal for a year.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be just as it is petitioned for half a years according to the form of the protection made to Holme in the last parliament.
Note
The title in Rot. Parl. Vol. IV, p.414 states this petition to be for 10 Henry VI (1431-2). The petition can be more precisely dated by the grant of protection made to Holme on 16 July 1432 in response to this petition (CPR 1429-36, p.205).
