Nature of request
Sarnesfeld states that Richard II granted to her the manor and borough of Helston for her life, from which she was ousted by Tryake and Penpons, and also an annuity of £20. Henry V also granted her an annuity of £20 for her life, which Henry VI confirmed. Sarnesfeld wishing to live as well in her estate which she has in the manor and annuities, and the king considering these things, the king granted the manor and borough to her for her life upon the surrender of the letters patent of Richard II and Henry V. She requests that she might be restored to the manor and borough of Helston by virtue of her patent.
Nature of endorsement
It is agreed and ordained by the lords spiritual and temporal and the commons that Sarnesfeld should be restored to the manor and borough of Helston by virtue of the letters patent of the king made to her, and she should have and hold them for her life in accordance with her letters patent. Saving to Tryake and Penpons their corn growing on the land of the manor.
