Nature of request
The abbot states that inundations of the sea have damaged the estates of the abbey to the ruination of the abbot and convent of the place. They hold the church of Clee to their own use from which the vicarage is deducted, and they request that the king grant to them that they might be able to appropriate the vicarage to them and their successors according to the form of the attached schedule
Nature of endorsement
Let it be as it is desired by the petition, such that the petitioner find a secular chaplain to minister the sacraments and other divine offices in the parish of the church of Clee.
