In addition a licence is granted for the bishop to erect a collegiate church from the church of the town consisting of a dean, a precentor and a number of prebendary canons, and that the abbot be one of the prebendary canons and the precentor. Licence is also granted to grant messuages and rent to the college.

Note
The draft is difficult to date as no enrolled copy seems to survive of it. The guard dates it to c.1427 on the basis that the petition is almost identical to another dated petition of the same bishop but concerning a completely separate grant (SC 8/25/1228 and 29). This seems a reasonable supposition, though the petitions and schedules are not in the same hand, so seem not to have been drawn up together.
