- The petition is difficult to date as no enrolled copy seems to survive of the deed, the draft of which was attached to this petition. The guard dates it to c.1427 on the basis that the petition is almost identical to another dated petition of the same bishop but concerning a completely separate grant (SC 8/25/1228 and 29). This seems a reasonable supposition, though the petitions and schedules are not in the same hand, so seem not to have been drawn up together.
