Nature of request
Ap Thomas requests that he be granted that he and his heirs be denizens and be treated as lieges of the king born in England, any statutes or purveyances made to the contrary notwithstanding.
Nature of endorsement
The response appears in the roll.(Considering the good and commendable service that ap Thomas has done both to Henry V and Henry VI, and to be made in times to come, let letters patent under the great seal of the king be made to ap Thomas according to the effect of the petition for a reasonable fine to be made in Chancery so that the grant to him extends only to his person, and not to his heirs).

Dated to 1427 by the heading in Rot. Parl. IV, p.309 where it is noted that the petition comes from the parliament held at Westminster in the quindene of St. Michael, 6 Hen. VI (October 1427). The letters of denization were issued on 13 October 1427 (CPR 1422-9, pp.476-7).
