Nature of request
The archbishop states that by licence of Henry V he founded a collegiate church in Higham Ferrers, and the king also granted to him and William Chichele the alien priory of West Mersea, and a licence for Isabel Dorewood to grant and let at farm her life interest in the priory to them so that they could establish the church. They have confirmations of Henry V, the archbishop, Isabel and the bishop of Winchester as is more fully contained in the king's confirmation. The archbishop requests that the king view his letters of confirmation, and with the assent of the lords spiritual and temporal, and the commons in parliament confirm this in accordance with his letters patent.
Nature of endorsement
Let a confirmation be made under the great seal of the king of his letters patent according to that which is desired by the petition for a reasonable fine made in Chancery.

Dated to 1427 by the heading in Rot. Parl. IV, p.309 where it is noted that the petition comes from the parliament held at Westminster in the quindene of St. Michael, 6 Hen. VI (October 1427). The inspeximus and confirmation was enrolled on 7 November 1427 (CPR 1422-9, pp.472-4).
