- Thomas Paunfeld, one of the king's free tenants of the village and manor of Chesterton in Cambridgeshire, states that he has long sued before the king and his father, by various petitions, to have a remedy for the wrongs and injustices done both to him and to the king's lordships and tenants in those parts, by the Prior and convent of Barnwell. He asks that commons to ask the king that the articles in a roll made on this might be read out in full parliament, so that his adversaries can answer and he can have a final decision in this parliament; and that he might have writs, according to the tenor of the roll, to summon the Prior of Barnwell, and Robert Scot, one of the canons, before the king in this parliament to answer on these matters, and also a writ, according to the tenor of the roll, to his neighbours in Chesterton; and that he might have freedom, by authority of parliament, to pursue these matters, without fear of arrest or hindrance by the Prior and canons, as the king granted him on Good Friday at Langley, in the first year of his reign.

- [On face] Soit baille a Roy et as seignurs du parlement (It is to be delivered to the king and the lords of parliament).[On dorse] The supplicant is to sue at common law in the King's Bench, as he has begun, and with regard to the other wrongs and trespasses of which he complains at present, he is also to sue at common law.
