Thomas Salman complains that George Brewes has produced letters patent of revocation from the king to prevent the justices in an assize of novel disseisin between them, concerning tenements in Thames Ditton, from proceeding to judgment in his favour. He asks the commons to ask the king for a writ to the justices to proceed to judgment, or to explain in the present parliament why they are not doing so; and also to ask him to ordain in the present parliament that no such letters or writ of revocation should be granted in this way in future.

[On face] Soit prie a Roy (A request is to be made to the king).[On dorse] The response to this petition is on the roll of the parliament held at Westminster on the Monday after the octave of Martinmas in the second year of the reign of King Henry, the fifth since the conquest.

As it says on the dorse, this petition is enrolled on the roll of the November parliament of 1414 (2 Henry V) (Rot. Parl. vol. IV pp.36b-37a). The letters patent of revocation mentioned by the petition were issued in Feb 1414: CPR 1413-16 p.157.
