Nature of request
Hugh Erdeswyk complains that certain lovedays have been instituted between him and Edmund Ferrers, concerning certain quarrels which Edmund claims to have with him, and Edmund has given assurances that he will observe them, but that Edmund nevertheless lies in wait with bands of armed men to kill Hugh, and inflicts other injuries on him, as contained in a bill attached to this petition. He requests that the commons ask the king to ordain a remedy.

[On face] Soit baille au roy (It is to be delivered to the king).[On dorse] A sufficient remedy has been ordained by statute in the parliament held at Westminster in the [thirteenth] year of the reign of King Henry, fourth since the conquest.
