Nature of request
The petitioners state that in the parliament in the first year of the king's reign, Robert Corbett and Richard Lacum, who were returned as knights for Shropshire, maliciously named them as collectors of the tenth and fifteenth in the county, intending to use this as an opportunity to attack them; which they did, wounding them and killing their horses, and preventing them from collecting the money. They request that the commons ask the king to give them a remedy.
