Thomas Mountagu (Montagu), Earl of Salisbury claims that there was an error in the judgement in the parliament held at Westminster at the octave of St Hilary, in the second year of Henry IV, which declared his father a traitor, and requests that the record and process of that judgment and declaration might be brought before the king and lords in the present parliament, that he might be able to point out the error or errors, and that they might be corrected.
