The petitioners state that John Cokayn, knight, of Derbyshire, has expelled them by force from their manor of Baddesley Ensor in Warwickshire, and is threatening their tenants with beating and ill-treatment, if they do not attorn to him. They request a remedy.

A writ is to be sent to the afore-mentioned John Cokayn, to appear before the king and his council in parliament at the octave of Trinity next, on pain of a certain penalty to be decided.
