Nature of request
The Prior and Covent of St Anne, Coventry, of the Carthusian order, request that the king ordain, by authority of the present parliament, and with the assent of the lords and commons, that they might be restored to the priory of Swavesey, from which they have been forcibly ejected by Master John Judde.
Nature of endorsement
Restitution is to be made to the aforementioned Carthusian Prior and convent of the priory and church of Swavesey, and of its vicarage, with all the lands, tenements, rents and possessions, with all their appurtenances, belonging to that priory, church or vicarage in any way, to have, hold and enjoy, to themselves and their successors, according to the form and effect of the letters patent made by King Richard II and by the present king, or confirmed by the present king.
