Nature of request
Isabel, widow of William Lescrop, states that one year's payment of the 200 marks granted annually to her by the king, as her husband did not have time to provide for her before he died and his lands were forfeited on his death, is in arrears, and asks that she might have the arrears, and continue to have this sum annually, notwithstanding any ordinances, statutes or petitions made or to be made or presented in this present parliament or elsewhere, and she requests a writ to the Treasurer and Chamberlains of the Exchequer, to pay this to her; or otherwise that she might be endowed with her husband's lands which are in the king's hands.
Nature of endorsement
The king of his special grace, with the advice and assent of the lords spiritual and temporal, and at the special prayer and instance of the commons in full parliament, has granted Isabel, who was the wife of the above-mentioned William Lescrop, £100, to be received annually in the Exchequer during the life of the said supplicant, at the feasts of Easter and Michaelmas, in equal proportions.
