Nature of request
John Drayton states that Richard Lonches and Elizabeth his wife had demised the manor of Aston near Birmingham, which they had previously recovered against Thomas de Colshull, John Holt and others, who had wrongly disseised them of it, to him for life, but that he was disseised of it by John Holt, his mother Margery, and others. He recovered it by an assize of novel disseisin, but was expelled again, so he brought a writ of redisseisin, but a large crowd was brought to the inquisition by the maintenance of William Bagot, and so threatened the sheriff of Warwickshire, that he did not dare to proceed. He requests a remedy.
