Nature of request
Walter Sibile states that Thomas Mortymere, who was appointed in the last parliament as arbiter in the long dispute between the petitioner and William Coggeshale and Nicholas Twyford, and who was supposed to have given his decision before last Michaelmas, has not done so, and requests that Richard Lescrop, who was the parties' original choice of arbiter, might question Thomas Mortymere, and might then act as arbiter in his place.
Nature of endorsement
When this petition had been read in parliament, it was ordained by the lords, with the assent of William Coggeshale and Walter Sibile, present in parliament, that they would be under the arbitration of the Bishop of London, the Bishop of Ely, and Richard Lescrop, two or one of them, on the matter mentioned by this petition, and that they would be bound by this; and William and Walter submitted in parliament to the aforesaid arbitration and decision, in the aforesaid form.
