John, Bishop of Lincoln, requests that the king order his Chancellor and others of his council who are learned in the law to examine an inquisition held concerning a dispute between him and the tenants of the king's late father in Warborough, over certain lands in Overy, which he claims to be part of his town of Dorchester; and that, when they have done so, they do justice to him.

Note
CPR 1381-5 p.356 is dated at Westminster, 20 November 1383. The petition must postdate this, but there seems no particular reason to assume that it was presented in parliament. It seems also to have been presented before Joan of Kent's death in 1385.
