- The commons of the realm request that no petition from any of the clergy in Oxford, asking that land acquired by them be discharged of tenths and fifteenths, be granted without their consent, as since the twentieth year of Edward I's reign too much land has been amortized to Holy Church, and can no longer contribute to the tenths and fifteenths.

- Rot. Parl. vol. III pp.275b-276a (no. 9) dates this petition to the parliament of January 1390, and Oxford Petitions follows suit, but the dating of many of the petitions ascribed by them to particular years of Richard II is not very secure.
