Nature of request
The embroiderers of London make various accusations of intimidation, corruption, misgovernment, and usurpation of royal power, against Nicholas Brembre, formerly Mayor of London. They request that he be punished, that a remedy provided for his abuses, and that all indictments of felony made by Nicholas Brembre be brought before the king, and tried by an impartial judge. They also request that if any of them, individually or collectively, are accused, they may be allowed to exonerate themselves - as these wrongs were done without the knowledge or against the will of most of the supplicants.

Entered as one of several petitions by London companies as part of a process begun in November 1387 and taken up before the Appellants early in 1388, and thus transferred into the 'Merciless Parliament' of February 1388.
