The copy of the letter is dated to 1390 with SC 8/20/981B, the petition with which it was formerly enclosed. The letter itself is dated in its dating clause at Stratford Langthorne, 23 May 51 Henry III (1267). CPR, 1266-72 p.63 is dated 22 May.
