Nature of request
Cecily Deumarcz, a poor widow, states that she has a quit-rent of 10 marks per annum for her whole life, from Alice Perers' tenement in the parish of All Hallows the Less in London, and that the Earl of Cambridge was in this tenement for a year and a half, at the time when Alice was expelled from it, but has paid only 40 s., so that she is owed 12 marks. She requests payment, in consideration of her great poverty and debt.

A note on the guard dates this petition to 1377-1385, with reference to the expulsion of Alice Perrers and the occupation of the property by the Earl of Cambridge for a year and a half. More specifically, it then says '? 1381-2'. Rot. Parl. vol. III, p.130b (no. 17) edits it amongst petitions from 5 Richard II (22 June 1381 - 21 June 1382).
