Nature of request
Richard Fylongley states that a plea has long been pending between the king and the Mayor and merchants of his staple in the port of London, concerning the tronage and pesage of wool, which is currently in judgment before the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer, and requests that the king ordain two or three lords of parliament, and certain justices who are familiar with the matter -Henry Hasty can instruct them concerning it - to see and examine the processes, and the records of the Exchequer, with the Treasurer and Barons, and when they have done so, to proceed to judgment without more delay.

CPR 1381-5, p.82 is dated at Westminster, 6 February 1382. The petition was presumably presented to the parliament of November 1381, later prorogued to 24 January 1382.
