Description
Petitioners
Richard de Fylongley (Fillongley).
Name(s)
de Fylongley (Fillongley), Richard
Addressees
King and council.
Nature of request
Richard de Fylongley states that he delivered a petition to the last parliament at Gloucester, concerning the tronage and pesage of wools and woolfells at the staple at the woolquay in London, which petition was sent to Chancery, endorsed in these terms: that those who were to be called should be called, and the matter contained in the said petition discussed and examined with such diligence and deliberation that justice would be done on this, and the king's inheritance saved - as can be seen from the endorsement. Nothing however has been done about this, although Richard has sued in Chancery at great expense. He requests a remedy in this parliament, according to the purport of the endorsement, so that the king's inheritance and possession will be saved, and Richard not forced to sue any longer.
Nature of endorsement
Let the other petition made in this way and answered in parliament, be seen and examined diligently in Chancery, and there, when the king's serjeants and others who should be called have been called, let full justice and right be done on this, both for the king and for the party mentioned in the petition.
Places mentioned

London.
People mentioned
Lords of the last parliament at Gloucester.
Note
The parliament held at Gloucester mentioned in the petition was the one held 20 October-16 November 1378, so this petition must have been presented to the next parliament, that held at Westminster 24 April-27 May 1379.
