Nature of request
The Master and scholars of Corpus Christi College Cambridge state that during the recent uprising the Mayor and Bailiffs of the commons of the city came to the college with main force, searching for them to kill them, and then broke into their houses and took and carried off their goods and chattels, and their muniments concerning the college, amongst other injuries. They request that the Mayor and Bailiffs make amends and restitution for the goods, chattels and muniments, and compensation for the trespass.
