Nature of request
Adam de Wodeford states that the lands of his father, Roger de Wodeford, are in the hands of the king, because he was in the company of the Verduns in Ireland when they rose against the king's father, although he was not indicted, and had a charter of pardon for this trespass. He requests restitution of his lands, as he has acted well and loyally towards the king, and the lands are in the king's hand for no good reason.

The Justiciar of Ireland, or his lieutenant, is to be ordered to certify the reason why the lands have been seized into the king's hand, and what lands, and when, and how long they have remained in the king's hand.

CPR 1327-30 pp.531-2 is dated at Woodstock, 31 May 1330. This petition is dated on the guard to '? 1335 as others in I 104'. 'Irish Ancient Petitions' gives the same date.
