Nature of request
Thomas de Say states that his father, Henry, whose heir he is, purchased the manor of Tolworth with its appurtenances for himself and Joan his wife and Henry's heirs; and he died seised of this manor. After his death Joan continued his estate and married Thomas Corbet, and they alienated the manor to Hugh le Despenser the son. Because of this alienation, Thomas, who was then under age, entered the manor and was seised until Hugh expelled him. Hugh then continued his estate until his death; and the Earl of Kent has now entered the manor in the king's name. Thomas requests a remedy.
