Henry Atte Hok states that he had purchased a messuage and a carucate of land, with appurtenances, in Lydiard Tregoze and 2 s. of rent in Cricklade, but that Hugh le Despenser the father, because the land was close to his manor of Vastern, entered his land and held it by force, and carried him off to Vastern, where he held him for a week and forced him to make a quitclaim to him. He requests a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
If the deed was done after the exile, he is to sue the process ordained by statute.
