Nature of request
Juliana, Isabel and Emma, daughters of John le Keu of Sherrington, state that their ancestors were seised of a messuage and forty acres of land, with appurtenances, in Sherrington, but that Hugh le Despenser, formerly Earl of Winchester, deforced them of it by his lordship and power, so that they were never able to have their right by law or grace. The tenements are in the king's hand because of Hugh's forfeiture. They request a remedy, in consideration of their poverty and long disinheritance.
Nature of endorsement
The muniments which belonged to Hugh are to be searched for evidence that might bar them from their petition. And if nothing is found, the king will do justice.
