Nature of request
Richard de la Ryvere makes two complaints against William Aeilmer:1) By means of an oyer et terminer he has made Richard and his people pay a redemption for 8 s. worth of goods which they had bought, and has taken £43 from them: for which he requests a remedy.2) When an inheritance in Iron Acton descended to six daughters and Richard had bought out five of them, William Aeilmer bought the sixth part of the inheritance, for the use of Hugh le Despenser the son, and expelled Richard completely from the lands, wrongly and without judgment: for which he requests justice.

Note
CPR 1327-30 p.80 is dated at Westminster, 4 March 1327: it is not certain that this is the matter referred to in the first petition, but it looks quite like it. CPR 1327-30 p.285 (dated at York, 20 February 1328) is a commission of oyer and terminer granted on a complaint made against both the petitioner and William Aylmer.
