Nature of request
John de Gyse states that he was seised of the manor of Pyrton, with its appurtenances, of the gift of Thomas de Greylee, and was seised for some time before he enfeoffed Thomas with it for term of his life, and that Thomas then gave it to Hugh le Despenser, the father, for term of his life. Thus it came into the king's hand after Hugh's death, and is still there. He requests a remedy.
