Nature of request
Henry de la Marlere, Margaret his wife, and Margery her sister, kin and heirs of David de Jarpunville, state that he died seised of the manor of Bushey in Hertfordshire, but that after his death Thomas de Jarpunville intruded into that manor, expelling Joan, David's daughter and heir, and mother of Margaret and Margery, who was under age. She married Geoffrey le Fitz Waryn, and they sued Thomas. He enfeoffed Hugh le Despenser the elder with the manor, who prosecuted various false indictments against Geoffrey, until Geoffrey and Joan were forced to levy a fine for the manor. Joan died immediately afterwards. The petitioners request that the matter be inquired into and justice done to them.
