Description
Petitioners
Henry Prodhomme.
Name(s)
Prodhomme, Henry
Addressees
King and council.
Nature of request
Prodhomme shows that he was in the service of the king overseas, for which time for the costs of him and his men the king allowed him £72 19s. 6d. as appears by a bill sealed by Northwell. For the payment Prodhomme sued to the king to have 20 marks from the men of Appleby in Westmorland for an annual farm due to the king until he was paid. It was granted to him that he should be paid, and a writ and tally was to be delivered to him to the people of Appleby to be paid as is entered in Prodhomme's bill by Chesterfield. He has sued continuously, and still sues, and has letters of the king to be paid, but is not able to be so, so that he is impoverished and has nothing to live on. He requests that he be able to be paid of the annuity, or be paid elsewhere, so that he is able to live.
Nature of endorsement
He should sue in Chancery and elsewhere where the business is to have execution according to the suit that he has commenced.
