Nature of request
Essot states that the king is bound to William le Ken in £10 for sheep bought from him during the time of Edward II to victual the castle of Bamburgh as appears by liveries of the Wardrobe when Melton was keeper. She requests that the king order a writ of Chancery to the treasurer and chamberlains of the Exchequer that she have payment of the money, and if they have no money to make a suitable assignment where she is readily able to be paid.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be ordered to the treasurer, barons and chamberlains of the Exchequer that when they have viewed the bill of which the petition makes mention, if they find that the debt is still due then they should make payment, allowance or assignment as soon as they decently can, receiving etc. and charging etc.
