Description

Nature of request
The bishop states that the late earl of March held the land of Newhouse from his church for 8 marks per annum. The king has had the land valued at 7 marks. It seems to the council that if the inquisitions are returned into Chancery as the petition supposes, the petition is reasonable if it pleases the king.2) It pleases the king.
