Nature of request
Kinne states that Bromley, the late victualler of Carlisle borrowed £10 from him to buy victuals for the garrison of Carlisle as appears by allowances of the Wardrobe from the time of William de Melton, whereof the accounts are rendered into the Exchequer from the time of Edward II. He requests a writ of Chancery to the treasurer and chamberlains of the Exchequer to pay him, or make some suitable assignment where he can be readily paid.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be ordered to the treasurer, barons and chamberlains of the Exchequer that when they have viewed what he has for himself for this £10 and viewed the accounts of the archbishop and keeper of the wardrobe, if they find that it is still due they should make payment, allowance or assignment as soon as they decently can, receiving etc. and charging etc.
