Nature of request
Aton shows that he has purchased his inheritance after the death of his ancestor William de Vescy, which inheritance was not found to be held in chief except the manor of Catthorpe. Aton has still not had seisin of the manor or the remainder of his inheritance, until he has released all claim that he has in the manor of Catthorpe to Damory. The king has distrained him for the relief of his inheritance, so that he requests remedy be made for him.
Nature of endorsement
Concerning the relief, after he has entered as heir it is right that he makes it; and concerning the demand for the manor, he has released etc.
