Nature of request
The Pateshulls state that Bradden died seized of the manors of Rhydonnen and Lancast in the cantref of Dyffryn Clwyd in Wales which is outside of the body of any county in which no writ of the king runs. The Pateshulls wish to demand dower of the said manors from Grey, who is lord of that lordship but he does not wish to do justice by which they request remedy.

This cannot be earlier than 1324 when Robert de Grendon and Robert Power were ordered not to intermeddle further in the lordship of Deffrencluit when Roger de Grey seems to have been recognized as lord (CCR 1323-27, p.78). It may date from after the fall of Edward II.
