Nature of request
Bremesgrove states that Edward II was bound to him for diverse expenses made concerning his victuals for Berwick in the second year of his reign when Bremesgrove was victualler there. He requests that the king order the treasurer and chamberlains to pay him or make an assignment in a suitable place, as he has served both Edward I and II in their households and wars for 30 years without maintenance or reward.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be ordered to the treasurers, barons and chamberlains of the Exchequer that when they have viewed the bills, if they find that the debt is still due that then they should make payment to him or a suitable assignment as soon as they decently can, receiving etc. and charging etc.
