Description

Nature of request
The commons show that at the last parliament they requested a statement of the charter of the stannaries of Devon because of diverse oppressions and grievances that the tinners have committed against them by colour of the charter. The declaration was to be made in parliament, but delayed by the advice of the council so that an enquiry could be made into it. This was made and returned into Chancery.
