Description

The people show that the duke and his retinue resided in the county for a time before their passage overseas. During that time many of the retinue took livestock and grain from diverse people for victuals, and made little or no provision to pay for them. Melbourne and others have bonds to many people to pay them, but the time for payment has now passed without payment to their great destruction so that they request that Melbourne and the other debtors be ordered to make payment, and no protection be allowed to them from writs of debt taken for the debts.
