People of the vill of Weobley in the county of Hereford.

Nature of request
The people show that they have paid to the king the tax of the fifteenth, and wool amounting to three fifteenth as other vills of the county have done by which they are greatly impoverished. Nevertheless a writ came to levy £10 for hobblers though they are not a city or borough, to their ruin. They request that a remedy is ordained for this mischief otherwise they cannot live, and are agreed that they will leave the vill.
