Nature of request
The Donnes show that they wish to have their right and recover their inheritance in Sawbridgeworth by process of law in the king's court, but have been unable to do so by the maintenance of William de Stowe and others, so that they dare not sue their business. They request that the king ordain a remedy on this so that they are to have law and reason against Stowe and the others regarding their right.
