Nature of request
John de Esyngton states that Thomas his brother was killed by the French in the king's service, and had found all the costs for the boat and crews from Sunday after the feast of St Martin, 13 Edward III, to the feast of St Peter ad vincula amounting to £42 for which he has still received no money or allowance. Easington is maintaining his children, and has nothing to live on without the £42 in allowance of the debt until he be paid for the account rendered into the Exchequer.
