Description
Petitioners
Lords from whom Simon de Bereford held his lands.
Addressees
King and council.
Nature of request
The lords show that they brought a petition to the last parliament requesting that they might have the rents and services due to them from those lands, but because the petition was not fully answered the clerks of Chancery did not want to do this. The lords request that the king order that they be served of the rents and services, and that they have a writ to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer making allowance to the keepers of the lands in their accounts for the same rents and services.
Nature of endorsement
It is right that they are served of their rents and for this they should sue before the Chancellor.
