The poor people of the forest of Macclesfield.

Nature of request
The people show that whereas the king's mother holds the forest of Macclesfield of the king's inheritance, it is being wasted in many ways by Thomas de Hampton, the bailiff of Macclesfield including the taking of deer and oaks, and the prevention of the indictment of certain men at the eyre held at Macclesfield in the 7th year of the king's reign to the disinheritance of the king, and the destruction of his people which is able to be shown and attested by the foresters and his other people. The people request that the king in haste order some of his faithful subjects to enquire of the wrongs and disinheritance made against him, and that his people are able to have remedy.
