Nature of request
Bolestrode requests that the king grant to him the hundreds of Hertford and Braughing for the term of his life rendering the farm at the Exchequer by the hand of the sheriff, and that he answer to the sheriff in his bailiwick as others have done before these hours.
Nature of endorsement
Because it is witnessed before the council that the said hundreds are annexed to the body of the county, the council do not in any way wish to assent that it be severed.
