Nature of request
Palmere states that he has given Warenne certain lands and tenements at Thorne and Hatfield, with a fishery on the river Don which Warenne held for the term of his life with reversion to the king. Palmere requests that the king ratify and accept the grant of Warenne, and grant to him that he be able to retain the lands and tenements with the fishery to him and his heirs, rendering the same rent.

Note
The petition is dated to 1335 by the heading in Rot. Parl., vol II, p.90, noting these to be petitions in parliament for 9 Edward III. Although this date is convenient, a series of entries in the patent rolls suggest that this petition could date to anytime between 1334-1340, when numerous other individuals receive pardons or acceptance of grants made by the earl in the vicinity of Hatfield and Thorne (CPR 1334-8, pp.41-2, 45-6, 113, 322, 328, 385, 391; CPR 1338-40, pp.203, 411, 414-15, 416-17; CPR 1340-43, p.12).
