Nature of request
Conduyt and Grantham show that their cargo of salt loaded in Conduyt's ship 'The Katherine' of London was seized on the 14 August 1322 by men of the count of Flanders near the coast of Thanet and it was taken to Flanders. Conduyt and Grantham request that the king and his council write to [his] envoys that they are to put the matter in process amongst other things in their treating with the count of Flanders so that Conduyt and Grantham may more easily recover their damages.
